Clarke expecting great things from Ponting

The Australia cricket captain Michael Clarke is expecting great things from his predecessor Ricky Ponting during their one-day series in South Africa starting tonight in Centurion.

Clarke says the former long-serving captain has batted well recently in Sri Lanka, and for his state side Tasmania, and he wouldn't be surprised if Ponting was man of the series.

The Australian lineup could feature three promising young pace bowlers, 18 year old spearhead Pat Cummins, 21 year old James Pattinson, and 19-year-old Mitchell Marsh.

Despite a disappointing World Cup, Australia are still ranked number one in the 50-overs game.

Hashim Amla will lead South Africa for the first time in the absence of AB de Villiers who has a broken hand.
