ABs not banking on anything

The All Black centre Conrad Smith says past history suggests playing well isn't always the best preparation for the next big match.

After a dominant semi-final win over Australia the All Blacks are heavily favoured to win Sunday night's World Cup final.

But in the past after big losses to the All Blacks, France has responded by knocking them out of two of the last three tournaments in the semi or quarter finals and Smith says knowing that means they're taking no notice of the odds.

Meanwhile the assistant coach Wayne Smith says the well-known unpredicability of French rugby sides means defensive preparations for Sunday's World Cup final are challenging.
