Australian organisers of this weekend's special V8 supercar event on the Gold Coast are confident they'll still provide a "true testament" to Dan Wheldon, the English driver killed during Monday's Indycar race in Las Vegas.
The Brazilian star Tony Kanaan, probably Wheldon's closest friend, and Australia's Will Power who suffered neck and back injuries in the 15-car crash, have both withdrawn from the Gold Coast event, but organisers have found replacement drivers to complete their field.
All drivers are expected to be at Queensland raceway in Ipswich for testing today.
