Williams staggered by RWC support

The All Black lock Ali Williams says he's been staggered by the amount of support the country has generated, not only for the home team, but the entire World Cup tournament.

The All Blacks will of course have massive majority support when they take on France in Sunday night's final at Eden Park, but beyond that Williams senses an outpouring of national pride enveloping the tournament as a great occasion, a relatively rare phenomenon for Kiwis.

He says while the 1995 America's Cup was special, the World Cup has been out of this world, and it's been great seeing the flags on the cars and people getting excited about the whole event.
