The former New Zealand international Andre Adams will again be Auckland's overseas professional for the upcoming season.

Adams last played internationally for the Black Caps in 2006 and has been playing English County cricket for Nottinghamshire since 2007.

Adams, who's 36, returns on the back of another successful county season being Notts top wicket taker with 67 wickets which also put him third on the national rankings.

He played as Auckland's overseas professional last year and coach Paul Strang says his arrival next week comes at a good time with pace bowler Daryl Tuffey set to miss the start of the season with injury.
