Final overcomes any aches and pains for All Blacks

The All Black number eight Kieran Read says the thought of playing in a World Cup final is a powerful counter-measure for any lingering aches and pains.

Read's recovered from the severe ankle injury that forced him from the field early in the Tri Nations loss in Brisbane and looked pretty much back to his best in the Cup semi-final win over the Wallabies in Auckland.

But he admits if he wasn't one hundred per cent fit it wouldn't be hard to tell the team doctor he was.
