Four Kiwis line up in $3m Cox Plate

New Zealand racing's horse of the moment Jimmy Choux faces the biggest test of his brilliant career on Saturday when he lines up in the $3 million Cox Plate at Moonee Valley in Melbourne.

The Hastings-trained four-year old heads a strong quartet of Kiwi stayers that includes the outstanding mare Kings Rose and the classy weight-for-age gallopers Wall Street and Lion Tamer.

The glamour meeting also features the first appearance this spring of last year's Melbourne Cup winner, the French-trained Americain, and the local freak Black Caviar, a four year old mare widely regarded as the world's best sprinter.

Black Caviar has won all 14 of her career starts, equalling the mighty Phar Laps 14 consecutive wins, and it's almost certain she'll set a new standard on Saturday.
