The Australian cricket captain concedes his side did little right in the second one day international against South Africa in Port Elizabeth.

The hosts won by 80 runs to level the three-match series 1-1.

Batting first the hosts posted 303 for six before paceman Morne Morkel grabbed 22 for four as Australia were bowled out for 223 off the last ball of their innings.

Michael Clarke says South Africa scored 40 more runs than they should have been allowed while his side was poor in the field.

Clarke says their batting wasn't up to scratch as well.

The deciding match is in Durban on Friday.
