The Texas Rangers baseball team will have to wait for the chance to seal a first-ever World Series after game six was postponed due to forecast rain in St. Louis.

The Rangers hold a 3-2 edge in the best-of-seven World Series over the Cardinals. The game will now take place on Friday.

Major League Baseball made the call to postpone the game mindful of the rain-plagued fifth game of the 2008 World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies.
