The Australia netball coach Lisa Alexander says her team's youth and ruthless attitude gave them the edge over New Zealand in the five test Constellation Cup series, which the Diamonds won 3-2.

Australia won the final test in Melbourne yesterday with another come from behind win over the Silver Ferns just as they did at the world champs in Singapore in July.

The Diamonds trailed the Silver Ferns by six goal at halftime but Alexander says she had every confidence in her side saying they ruthless and have a strong self belief and she only expects them to get better.

She says she reminded the players at halftime of their physical advantage over several of the older Silver Ferns.

The Silver Ferns coach Wai Taumaunu says the squad needs more depth and says while New Zealand doesn't have the numbers Australia does she believes there are four to six palyers who will come into the squad over the next four years.
