The Welsh club the Cardiff Blues say they won't be approaching All Blacks world cup winning coach Graham Henry to become their new coach.

Henry who coached Wales between 1998 and 2002 has been linked to the vacant role at the club.

Henry has said he'd be interested in working with the England Rugb union having agreed to coach the Barbarians next month against Australia at Twickenham.

But Cardiff Blues chairman Peter Thomas says while he had dinner with Henry when he was in New Zealand for the World Cup, he won't be approaching Henry to work at Cardiff as they simply couldn't afford him.
