Junior Black Sticks men beat Pakistan

The New Zealand junior men's hockey team has started the first Sultan of Johor Cup with a 1-0 victory over Pakistan in their opening match in Malaysia.

The Junior Black Sticks led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a penalty stroke to Midlands' Nick Ross and managed to hold the lead until the final whistle.

The tournament runs until November 12th and the Junior Black Sticks' next match is early tomorrow morning against the hosts. Malaysia also won their opening match against Australia 2-1.

In the other game of the tournament, Korea beat India 6-4.
