Jacobson keeps lead at HSBC Champions

12:02 pm on 6 November 2011

Fredrik Jacobson shot a five under par 67 to lead going into the final day of the HSBC Champions in Shanghai, despite a late charge from the Australian golfer Adam Scott.

The in-form Swede Jacobson is two shots ahead of South African Louis Oosthuizen, who is on 14-under 202 after carding an impressive 68 in the $7 million showpiece.

Third placed Scott showed plenty in the final hour of play to charge back into contention after finishing on 69, leaving him three shots behind Jacobson going into the final round of the World Golf Championship.

The focus was on Scott's caddy Steve Williams, who sparked a racism row by comments about his former employer Tiger Woods, but there were no signs the drama had impacted on Scott's game.

Scott told reporters that Williams did the right thing by apologising and said he values Williams' contribution to his game.
