Wallabies coach Robbie Deans is set to move gifted young utility James O'Connor closer to the action on the two-match rugby tour to Britain.
Deans named a squad of 26, with nine World Cup players unavailable, for matches against the Barbarians and Wales later this month.
With Quade Cooper and Pat McCabe among the absentees Deans has indicated that O'Connor, who has played primarily on the wing for Australia in recent times, could be moved to first five eighth or second five eighth.
