The Wimbledon semi-finalist and current world tennis No.18 Sabine Lisicki will play at January's ASB Classic in Auckland.
The big-serving German who consistently serves at 200 kilometres an hour broke into the world's top 20 in August after reaching the Wimbledon semi-final and winning WTA titles in Birmingham and Dallas.
She also made the fourth round of the US Open this year and has beaten top 10 players, including US Open champion Sam Stosur, Li Na and Marion Bartoli.
Lisicki, who reached the second round of this year's tournament before being eliminated by defending champion Yanina Wickmeyer, joins former world number one and seven-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams among the entrants.
