Eleven wicket haul from former Black Cap helps Auckland to win

A match haul of eleven wickets by former Black Caps bowler Andre Adams has helped Auckland to a narrow 19 run win over Northern Districts in Whangarei, in the opening round of cricket's Plunket Shield four day competition.

Set 268 to win ND were dismissed for 244 with former Black Caps Andre Adams taking another five wicket bag to with the six he took in the first innings to finish with figures of 11 for 123.

At stumps on day three in other matches, Central Districts is 267 for two in its second innings still trailing Wellington's first innings total by 16 runs while Otago's 293 for five in reply to Canterbury's 420 for nine declared.
