Kiwis looking to plug defensive gaps against England

7:49 am on 11 November 2011

The Kiwis forward Alex Glen says if they're to beat England this weekend and reach the rugby league Four Nations final they'll have to eliminate the defensive lapses they were still guilty of in their easy win over Wales.

The Brisbane Broncos second-rower played in the centres at Wembley last weekend, but is likely to return to the forwards for Sunday morning's crunch match at Hull.

Glen concedes they can't afford to miss a single tackle against England but he says the home side's big pack could be vulnerable if the game's played at pace.

Coach Stephen Kearney is expected to wait until match day before confirming his line-up.

The winner of the match will face Australia in the final.
