Snow Sports NZ appoints new CEO

6:42 pm on 11 November 2011

Snow Sports New Zealand has appointed Martin Toomey as its new Chief Executive.

Toomey is currently the acting chief executive of High Performance Sport New Zealand and was previously the general manager of high performance at SPARC.

He's also the former fitness trainer for the All Blacks and Team New Zealand.

Toomey says he developed a love of skiing and the outdoors during his university days and is looking forward to being closely involved with snow sports again.

Toomey will take up the role in early February once his role of Acting Chief Executive for HPSNZ has come to an end.

He'll be based in Wanaka.
