Kane Williamson scores double ton

Black Caps batsman Kane Williamson has ticked off another milestone in his brief first-class career.

The 21-year-old international struck his maiden double century to enable Northern Districts to take a firm grip on their Plunket Shield fixture against Wellington after 2 days at Lincoln.

Williamson's unbeaten 252, the highest score by an ND batsman, helped Northern through to 540 for six in reply to Wellington's first innings of 162.

Also at Lincoln, Otago are 29 for 1 in their second innings, trailling Central by 41 runs.

In Rangiora, Auckland are 282 for 5 in their first innings, trailling Canterbury by 209 runs... Martin Guptil is unbeaten on 121.
