Gold Coast fall to third straight loss

12:20 pm on 19 November 2011

A horror week for Gold Coast football coach Miron Bleiberg was made worse by a frustrating 2-1 loss to the Melbourne Heart last night as the visitors enjoyed back-to-back A-league wins.

Bleiberg arrived at Skilled Park looking for positives after a week in which he copped a $6000 fine and suspended one-match ban from Football Federation Australia for comments made after the 3-2 loss to Sydney on November the 6th.

Oh, and his team sat dead last on the A-League ladder.

Just when Bleiberg thought things couldn't get worse, the Gold Coast slumped to their third-straight loss for the first time in their history in front of just 4,031 fans, who booed at full-time.

The Heart are in third place on the ladder, level with Perth and Newcastle, while Gold Coast remain dead last alongside the Wellington Phoenix, who face Adelaide tonight at Eden Park.
