The world tennis number two Rafael Nadal's begun his latest challenge for a first ATP World Tour Finals title with a two sets to one win over American Mardy Fish, in London.
Nadal who's won ten grand slams in his career has yet to win the tour's end of season finale and was playing his first competitive match after a month long lay-off.
The former world number one Roger Federer had a win over Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, although he was also pushed to three sets.
