Roulston's Olympic dream over

The Olympic and Commonwealth Games medal-winning cyclist Hayden Roulston says he's shattered that his London Olympic dream is apparently over.

Roulston says he's bitterly disappointed about having to leave BikeNZ's track cycling programme, because despite gaining tremendous concessions from his new Radioshack-Nissan-Trek professional team to allow him to ride at the London games, he's unable to meet BikeNZ's selection criteria.

Roulston says he's been told if he wasn't available for the New Zealand squad until February's London World Cup track event, he wouldn't be chosen, despite planning a programme he believes would have had him in perfect shape for the Olympics.
