Volvo fleet down to three

The Volvo Ocean Race has claimed its third victim with the American yacht Puma breaking its mast, leaving the fleet down to half strength after just over two weeks of racing.

Skipper Ken Read reported that none of the crew had been injured in the incident which occurred with 2150 miles to go on the leg.

The Spanish team Telefonica lead by about 100 miles from Team New Zealand entry Camper.
