Campese labels Deans World Cup tactics brainless

The outspoken former Wallabies winger David Campese has criticised Australia rugby coach Robbie Deans, labelling his World Cup tactics as brainless.

Campese says the former Crusaders and All Blacks assistant coach has got off lightly after Australia's semi-final loss to the All Blacks and has called for Queensland Reds coach and former Wallaby Ewen McKenzie to replace him.

Campese says Deans backline selections were disgusting and he shouldn't still be in the role now that he's failed to win the trophy with the All Balcks in 2003 and Australia this year.

Deans selections have also been criticised by former Wallabies Nick Farr-Jones and Mark Ella.
