Lower Hutt rollerskater Sarah-Jane Jones has finished ninth in the World Figure Skating Championships in Brazil.
The 24-year-old's top-10 placing came in the senior solo dance competition in a stellar field of 21 finalists.
New Zealand hosts the world championships next year for the third time, to be staged in Auckland from the 29th of September to October the 13th.
