Big one day wins for Auckland, Canterbury and Otago

There have been big wins Auckland, Canterbury and Otago at the start of cricket's one day competition.

Otago defeated Northern Districts by 111 runs in Dunedin, making 295 for six in their 50 overs with Craig Cumming contributing 123 then Ian Butler taking five 33.

Auckland won 72 runs at Lincoln after making 249, with five wickets from former Black Cap Andre Adams helping dismiss Wellington in the 45th overs.

And Canterbury won by 66 runs in Rangiora, making 268 for seven and dismissing Central Districts with five overs in hand.
