Defender Katrina Grant's stoked to get back into netball after missing the three recent Tests against Australia with a foot injury.

Grant says her spell away from the game made her realise just how big a part the sport is in her life.

New Zealand are defending their FastNet world title in Liverpool this weekend. FastNet is a shorter format game, with rolling substitutions and double points for shots taken outside the shooting circle.

Meanwhile Netball New Zealand has confirmed that Liana Leota will withdraw from the Silver Ferns squad at the end of the 2011 international programme to join her husband Johnny who has a contract with the English rugby side Sale Sharks.

Silver Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu says the door is still open for Leota to regain her place on her return to New Zealand.
