Webber dedicates Brazilian Grand Prix victory to ill friend

Australian Mark Webber easily won the Formula One season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix with Red Bull team-mate and world champion Sebastian Vettel second, almost 17 seconds behind, after suffering a gearbox problem.

Vettel had started from pole for a record 15th time this season but had to nurse his car around the track with his gearbox running out of oil as he crossed the line.

McLaren's Jenson Button took third to remain in second place in the overall standings behind Vettel while the win means Webber finishes the season in third place.

It was the 35-year-old's first win in over a year and Webber dedicated the victory to ill friend Bob Woods.
