The Perth Wildcats were too good for the the Sydney Kings in their ANBL clash at Challenge Stadium last night with the home side claiming a 103-92 victory thanks to a blistering first half at both ends of the court.
Coming off a two-week road trip, the Wildcats burst out of the gates with some big blocks, strong defence and hot shooting, scoring 30 points in the first eight minutes and 60 by half-time.
Sydney was buoyed by their win in Melbourne on Friday, but were not able to recover from Perth's early onslaught despite a strong second-half showing.
Shawn Redhage top-scored with 23 points for the Wildcats, with Brad Robbins adding 15 and Kevin Lisch 14.
Anatoly Bose (22 points), Jerai Grant (20, 11 rebounds) and Aaron Bruce (15, 9 assists) all worked hard for Sydney, but it wasn't enough in Perth.
