Auckland City will head for the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan top of the ASB football Premiership after a 5-nil thumping of Manawatu, while wins for Canterbury and Waitakere kept both sides within three points of the leaders.
Waitakere United's 4-1 victory over winless Waikato FC keeps the West Aucklanders in second place, while Canterbury's 1-nil win over ten-man Wellington enough to keep the Dragons third.
Otago United's solid 2-nil win over Hawke's Bay United lifted the Richard Murray-coached side to fourth, two points adrift of both Waitakere and Canterbury.
Wellington are fifth and Hawke's Bay United sixth, with Manawatu and Waikato at the bottom of the ladder.
Next week, Waitakere United travel to Noumea, New Caledonia, to face AS Mont Dore in the OFC Champions League, while Auckland City's match with Amicale has been rescheduled for January 18, next year due to their FIFA Club World Cup commitments.
The next round of the ASB Premiership is scheduled for December the 11th.
