Questions over whether Black Caps can take advantage of vulnerable Australia

8:13 am on 1 December 2011

The Australian cricketers maybe vulnerable but there's no guarantee the New Zealand cricketers are capable to taking advantage of that says former Black Caps coach David Trist.

The two test series begins in Brisbane today, with the Black Caps chasing their first test win in Australia since 1985..

With five leading players unavailable the Australian side has been labelled the nation's weakest test team in 30 years.

They've won just two tests in the past year, although they are coming off a morale boosting series draw against South Africa.

New Zealand had recent test win over Zimbabwe and posted over 400 pus totals in both innings of the warm up match against Australia A with Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor and Jesse Ryder scoring centuries.

David Trist believes the question mark hangs over the Black Caps bowling attack.
