Australian rugby league legend Arthur Beetson dies

The Australian rugby league legend Arthur Beetson has died after suffering a heart attack on the Gold Coast while out cycling.

Beetson, who was 66, was Queensland's first State of Origin captain in 1980, and coached the Maroons to series wins from 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1989.

He was inducted into the Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2003 and was named in the front-row in Australian rugby league's Team of the Century.
