The New Zealand cycling sprint team has crashed out during qualifying at the World Cup in Colombia.

The former triple world junior champion Sam Webster crashed during the second lap after he rolled a tyre off the rim of his bike and also brought down teamate Eddie Dawkins.

Two teams from Germany recorded the fastest times with the leading German team breaking the world record set by Great Britain at the Beijing Olympics.
