Still no return for the injured Ryan Nelsen but some good news for the All Whites captain - his Blackburn Rovers have scored a rare win in English football's Premier League, 4-2 over visitors Swansea to get off the bottom but not out of the relegation zone.

Manchester United won the late game at Aston Villa 1-0 to stay five points behind unbeaten cross-town rivals Manchester City, who thrashed visitors Norwich City 5-1.

Spurs beat 10-man Bolton 3-0 at home and remain third, while fourth-placed London rivals Chelsea also won 3-0 at sixth-placed Newcastle United, and fifth-placed capital side Arsenal did even better at bottom side Wigan Athletic, winning 4-0.

Queens Park Rangers drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion in London.
