A victory for Holden veteran Craig Lowndes at Sydney's Olympic Park street circuit on Saturday ensured the V8 Supercar championship race will go down to the wire.
Lowndes claimed the win in the 250-kilometre race to cut his deficit to team-mate and rival Jamie Whincup to just 80 points heading into Sunday's season-closer.
The 37-year-old came in ahead of Holden driver Garth Tander and Ford's New Zealand driver Shane van Gisbergen.
