The New Zealand Open is heading towards a dramatic two-way playoff after Australians Brad Kennedy and Craig Parry were tied on 7 under par at the conclusion of the final round at the Clearwater golf course.

Parry double-bogeyed the 18th after sending his tee shot into the water dropping two shots and allowing Kennedy back into the tournament.

However Kennedy couldn't nail his birdie putt attempt on the final hole to seal victory with the event now heading for a playoff.

New Zealander Josh Geary finished one shot off the leaders on 6 under and will claim third place for the tournament after the winner is decided.
