Argentina's Davis Cup tennis players were resigned but proud despite coming up short in a final against Spain for the second time in four years, and for the fourth time overall.

In the deciding match of the tie in Seville, Spain's world number two Rafael Nadal was given a scare by the 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro before rallying to win in four sets, giving Spain an unbeatable 3-1 lead.

Del Potro said they had every right to be proud of their performance during the the final and the entire competition this year, and Argentina's captain Tito Vasquez says the current Spanish team, playing at home, had be one of the hardest to beat in Davis Cup history.
