The New Zealand Breakers have reclaimed outright first on the Australian National Basketball League table after the Adelaide 36ers' recent run against the Perth Wildcats continued with a 96-84 upset at Challenge Stadium.

Not even the surprise early return of Damian Martin from injury could stop Adelaide recording their second win in Perth for the season, captain Adam Ballinger holding aloft the inaugural Cattalini Cup after the game.

Despite the win the 36ers remain second to last on the ANBL ladder in eighth place while the Wildcats remain second behind the competition leading New Zealand Breakers.

Meanwhile the Sydney Kings survived a nervy final quarter to record their second home win of the season, defeating the Cairns Taipans 69-64.

The Kings are in seventh with the Taipans just above them in sixth place.
