The New Zealand Breakers basketballer Thomas Abercrombie has been named the ANBL's Player of the Week for Round Nine of the Championship.
Forward Abercrombie had a career-high 33 points, as well as adding 11 rebounds, two blocks and one assist as the Breakers held off the Melbourne Tigers 108-98 in double-overtime at Auckland's North Shore Events Centre.
Abercrombie made 10-of-18 shots from the field, including six of nine from the perimeter, as well as seven of 10 free throws.
He also made a crucial three-pointer late in the second extra period to give the Breakers a six-point lead and, ultimately, the victory.
