The former All Black winger Doug Howlett has suffered a season-ending injury in Ireland.
The 33-year-old has had a scan on a knee injury suffered at the weekend playing for Munster which has shown he'll require surgery on a damaged achilles and be out of action for up to eight months.
It's a blow for Munster, who are in contention for their Celtic competition as well as the Heineken Cup.
