Cummins out for the summer?

Budding million-dollar man Pat Cummins' latest injury setback has highlighted a "million dollar question" for cricket Australia.

The news came the same day Cummins' manager confirmed his star client planned to nominate for the IPL auction.

Cummins has not played since first being diagnosed with heel bruising after his man-of-the-match performance on Test debut against South Africa last month.

Team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris admits he's still to find the magic formula with managing bowlers' workloads since the rise of Twenty20 cricket.

Kountouris made the admission after revealing 18-year-old Cummins is expected to miss the home Test series against India with a bone stress injury in his heel.

Cummins joins fellow quicks Ryan Harris (hip), Mitchell Johnson (foot surgery), Doug Bollinger (hamstring) and Ben Cutting (side strain) as well as allrounder Shane Watson (hamstring) on Australia's growing injury list.
