The Indian cricket opener Virender Sehwag hit a record one-day international score of 219 to help his side to a 153-run victory over the West Indies in the fourth ODI in Indore.
Sehwag's 219 came off 149 balls.
His team-mate Sachin Tendulkar, rested from this series, previously held the record after hitting an unbeaten 200 against South Africa last year.
India made 418 for five from their 50 overs - the joint fourth highest total in one-day international history.
The Windies were dismissed for 265 in the last over.
India lead the five-match series 3-1.
