Barcelona's beaten Real Madrid 3-1 in El Clasico, the battle of the Spanish football giants, at the Bernabeu in Madrid.
A bungled clearance from Barca goalkeeper Victor Valdez cost the Spanish champions a very early goal in the first minute - Real striker Karim Benzema cashing in.
But Barca equalised on the half hour through forward Alexis Sanchez then went ahead after half-time with a deflected shot by midfielder Xavi fortuitously going in on 53 minutes, the Catalans' third coming from former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas - who nodded in a cross in the 66th minute.
Real still lead La Liga but only on goal difference from Barca, though the Madridistas have a game in hand.
