The defending champions secured their ninth win in 12 matches in the final quarter after trailing the 36ers by 10 early in the match.
Gary Wilkinson scored 30 for the Breakers, who outscored Adelaide 25-13 in the final quarter.
Cairns stay in the top four, scoring a 79-77 home victory over Melbourne while Townsville had an 80-69 home win over Sydney.
