The world golf number one Luke Donald has made history as the first player to top both the US and European money lists in the same year.
With his only threat, Rory McIlroy struggling on the final day of the Dubai World Championship, Donald was able to cruise through the last few holes on his way to a final round of 66 and third place behind Spain's Alvaro Quiros, who won by two shots after sinking a monster putt for an eagle on the final hole.
34 year old Donald has been world number one for the last 27 weeks.
Meanwhile Rory McIlroy, who's been unwell for the last fortnight, says he won't be playing again until the Abu Dhabi championship in the last week of January.
