The New Zealand Breakers remain clearly on top of the Australian National Basketball league after an 86-73 win last night in Adelaide.

Strong defence helped Adelaide to a 45-44 lead at halftime, but Gary Wilkinson imposed himself on the game in the second half to run up 30 points for the Breakers who ended up overpowering their hosts.

The Breakers have 9 wins from 12 games, one more than the Perth Wildcats, and the Townsville Crocs are third with five wins having played only 9 games.
