The Gold Coast Blaze have done the champion New Zealand Breakers a good turn, coming back from the dead to seal an extraordinary 77-74 National Basketball League win over the visiting Perth Wildcats.
Trailing by as many as 21 points in the first half, the Blaze appeared set to endure an embarrassing defeat on their home court but they overturned the tables in dramatic fashion, securing a memorable win with a 44-22 second half.
The victory over the second-placed Wildcats shores up the Breakers' lead at the top of the ANBL ladder.
