Aussie named new ATP chief

The former Australian tennis player Brad Drewett is the new head of the Association of Tennis Professionals, the governing body of men's tennis.

53 year old Drewett who had a career best singles ranking of 34 was appointed to the position after the former Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek from the Netherlands withdrew his application earlier this month.

Drewett's appointment was generously endorsed by the ATP's Player Council president Roger Federer.
