Finalists named for Halberg favourite moment award

The Halberg Trust has announced the six finalists for the Favourite Sporting Moment category for the 2011 Halberg Awards.

They are the New Zealand Breakers winning the ANBL basketball title, Valerie Adams winning the World Shot Put title, Hamish Bond and Eric Murray winning a rowing world title, Lewis Brown's try to send the New Zealand Warriors into the NRL grand final, the final whistle in the Rugby World Cup final and Doug Bracewell bowling Nathan Lyon to win the second cricket test against Australia.

The winner will be decided by public votes.

The Halberg Awards will take place in Auckland on February 9th.
