Celebs also a challenge for Investec Loyal

It wasn't only Wild Oats XI and a protest that Investec Loyal needed to overcome - its crew of celebrities also posed some challenges.

Hit by crippling seasickness on night one of the Sydney to Hobart, at least some of them were happy to retire as winners - or provisional line honours winners at least - after Wednesday's finish.

Champion wheelchair athlete Kurt Fearnley, who admitted the race got "bloody scary", was clear he wouldn't be back while NRL star Anthony Minichiello was also non-committal.

Minichiello says he probably should retire a winner but you never say never.

Loyal's crew also included the likes of former Wallabies Phil Kearns and Phil Waugh and Nine Network presenter Karl Stefanovic, all raising money for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

They all agreed it was tough.
